D-Link Complaint - D-Link DIR-628 Wireless Router
I bought the wireless router at a brand name office supply store. I followed the easy installation instructions provided on the CD - 5 times. I took it back to the store and they happily gave me a new one. This one installed correctly the first time.
The difficult part was after installation. The network was unsecured and there were no instructions on setting a WEP and password. I called the 24/7 tech support line. The girl that answered the phone talked so fast I couldn't understand a word she was saying. I politely asked her to slow down and that's when the attitude started. That and she was obviously reading from a script was very frustrating.
The router is working and the network is secure. That's the important part. It's too bad companies like this don't call their own tech support lines to check the quality of their employees.
