Sears Complaint - Service
GREENSBORO, NORTH DAKOTA -- I've had Sears appliances for years and I also have their maintenance agreement. My problem is not with the quality of their products but with their response time for service. My refirgerator is now 19 years old and about once a year I have to call them because either the ice maker has stopped working or the refrigerator is not cooling. I've noticed the last few years it's becoming harder and harder to get prompt service.
My refrigerator stopped cooling and I called at 10:00 a.m. today, 11/22/04 and the first available appointment is Monday 11/29. This means I'm without a refrigerator for a week, during the entire Thanksgiving holiday.
My wife and I are trying to decide whether to buy a new refrigerator or not and if we do, do you think we will buy another one from Sears with their lousy response for service?
I know Sears was having financial problems and were recently bought by K Mart but unless they improve their response for service they are going to loose more and more customers.
