Oxnard Gold's Gym Complaint - Overcharges and unable to cancel contract.

Review by curio7434 on 2010-04-25
OXNARD, CALIFORNIA -- As many, my son signed a contract with Gold's Gym. After he enrolled the unemployeed lines he tried to cancel the contract without any luck, To prevent fees accumulating I interceded and covered what I expected it was owed, and I had his membership fees to start withdrawing from my checking account (nothing signed but a phone call since is their only way of business). After some five phone calls and three faxes, so far, I just got $320.00 withdrawn from my account. I can not get a bill breakdown and all I get is "that is what is owed". Within two months they have withdrawn $68 (2/8/10)+ $97(2/12/10) + $165(3/22/10) + $39(4/2/10) + $320(4/24/10) for a couple membership that pay $39 a month each. I canot mathematical comprehend how two members can be charge $650 for two months.
