Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) Complaint - Why am I being punished for their negligence?

LAWRENCEVILLE, GEORGIA -- DFCS was contacted concerning an attempted suicide by my then 15 year old daughter. They appeared concerned at first but somehow shifted their focus on myself and my husband because of what our daughter has told them. Since the beginning of DFCS involvement our daughter has been diagnosed bi-polar, been hospitalized 4 times and on numerous cocktails of medications. This is now going on for 9 months and involving ex-boyfriend, ex-wives and ex-inlaws, not to mention 4 different caseworkers, 1 we never met, 1 we only met once, 1 was fired and 1 quit 2 weeks ago. All of a sudden in the last 2 weeks because of their pending time frame, they filed an emergency court hearing, that has since shattered my family. Sending the 2 oldest children to grandparents, 2 middle children to other relatives, our baby and myself to my mothers, and my husband at home by himself. They are basing their entire case (which was filed for deprivation of the children)on the words of a severely emotional 16 year old girl and a spiteful ex-wife. Granted this is temporary until April 29, it is traumatic to me, I can't even begin to express what it has done to our children. All of them are acting out, angry, sad, and increasingly temperamental.

I have attempted to contact the Directer & her assistant in the county where we live, with no returned phone calls. I at a loss now, don't know where to turn or who to turn to! I need my family back so we can spend another year trying to mend what DFCS has broken!

You need a good lawyer familiar with Family Law as soon as possible. At the very least get a consultation and a recommendation. These government sycophants are going to believe whomever they want, you need someone who can help you sort out the legal aspect.

Agreed, local. I'm surprised that this wasn't the first thing you did when the ex-wife got involved. That right there spells bad news to me.
