America's Best Value inns Complaint - Beware! - Freeway motel at Westley, CA

WESTLEY, CALIFORNIA -- I made an Internet reservation for a one night stay at the America's Best Value Motel in Westley, CA. Cancelled the reservation at 3:30 PM, before normal 6 PM cancellation time. Was told that cancellation had to be by 6 PM of prior day but the manager/owner said that I would not be charged for something I did not use. Was charged full amount the next day. Contacted the head office and they refused to 'get involved' as each motel is independently owned.

Avoid all America's Best Value Inns as they do not stand behind their product or their word.

Yes, he will not accept my call. Visa also called him with no results.

Since Visa also called and got no results it sounds like they should give you a full credit on your disputed charge.

Visa is working on the reversal. Interesting note: Even though America's Best Value head office wouldn't help, they suggested contacting Visa to get a reversal of the charge, Great head office support!!!!

Visa came through with a refund! If you ever have a good case, Visa is very responsive. Please continue to avoid America's Best Value Inns as they do not follow good American business practices.
