Raymour Complaint - Customer service - Dining Pedestal Table Set

Review by Anonymous on 2004-11-23
WATERBURY, CONNECTICUT -- I recently {10/11/04} purchased a Dining Set from
RAYMOUR & FLANIGAN FURNITURE STORE in Waterbury, Ct. I was dissatified and contacted the store for some help with my problem with it. They referred me to a store manager named Ruth and she said the Company Policy is once you take poseccesion they will not take it back, as they consider it used furniture and they can and will not do this. The problem is the top of this table is spotted with some kind of oil or finish and it won't polish off or wipe off, also the chairs are to low for the table so as you sit your chest is even with it. I asked if there were some bottoms for the legs and they said no this is the way it is. { I think it was made for very tall people} I have never gone through this kind of treatment with anyone I have done business with in my life. Companies should stand by there NAME and FURNITURE or PRODUCT. This spring they are OPENING A NEW STORE IN BROOKFIELD, CT. and I must tell you I am very unhappy, as we are used to HONEST people in our area and this CO.will not stand by it's customer satifaction. This set was quite expensive and I love the wood grain, but it's a shame it's finnish is messed up this way, and they will not even send a furniture repair man to look at it, as he may know what to do. If anyone can get to the Home Office, PLEASE have them review the problem and contact me at my E-MAIL ASAP as the HOLLIDAYS are here and everyone knows we got a new set and I wanted to show off the WOOD. Sincerely,

Jeanne
