Holiday Inn Informative - Buyer Beware......Bugs in the Room!!!
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- I am a flight attendant, and had an overnight scheduled for 04-08-10, at the Holiday Inn Historic District in downtown Philadelphia PA.
At 3:30 am 04-09-10, I woke up scratching my body uncontrollably. When I turned on the light, my arms were covered in bug bites. Upon further inspection, so was the rest of my body.
I informed the front desk, and she did everything she could possibly do at the time.
I had the hotel launder my clothes, and they are replacing my bags. That is the end of the "customer care" and the "handling" of the incident.
Obviously, bug bites are a huge part of this review, but the lack of returning phone calls, not being able to file a claim for loss of wages through the hotels insurance company because the representative won't return the call, is an even bigger issue.
I have been in constant communication with the hotels manager via email, and I get the standard, "I don't have any control over loss of wages" reply. When I inquire about to whom, or how do I file a claim, I get no response.
I have requested the name and contact information for the corporate general manager, and again no response.
I am telling as many people as I possibly can to beware of bugs in your room, if you stay at the Holiday Inn Historic District downtown Philadelphia, because they do bite!
