TBT Towing Complaint - TBT Towing are crooks!

Review by JoJo369 on 2010-04-29
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- I parked my car for work on Friday, April 16th, 2010 (Ken Griffey Jr. Bobble head night), at a credit union called express, not to mention out of business and had no signs saying no parking where I was parked, at 5pm, 30 minutes before the business next door closed. After work I went to the parking lot where I parked and my car was gone. When I talked to people at work they said they have been towed and it never costed no more than $300, which is already outrageous!! I had to search the parking lot for a sign and finally found one on the other side (front side, I was parked in the back). When I called they said that it would be a better price in the morning because they would charge an after hours fee, without stating how much it would be in the morning. I got another ride and called in the morning to find out what I would have to do. They ended up charging me $516! not to mention when I looked in my car my I pod was gone! I could not believe it and when I tried to confront the man working about my missing I pod he locked the door and wouldn't let me in to talk and wouldn't give me papers for the missing I pod. THEY ARE CROOKS! The man had horrible customer service and they towed my car at a time (7pm) that was after the businesses closing time. I have already talked to a news reporter about my story and I plan to make them miserable.

I take it you were at a game and looking for a free parking spot...parking IS very expensive in Seattle, especially near Qwest field, but is it possible that you really just missed the no parking signs? I'm not saying TBT was right in charging you so much...but if you parked in a no parking area and you got caught, there is a price to pay.

Usually, if the sign is posted in the front parking lot, that is considered the entrance and encompasses the entire lot, both front and back. The only thing I believe they are guilty of is price gouging! Sorry):

I would never park in an abandoned lot anyway for safety reasons. What if your iPod was stolen by some passer by and not the towing company? Was there a reason you parked there?
