Lowe's Complaint - Lowe's Not Honoring Rebates
My husband and I are in the middle of a small kitchen remodel. We are purchasing some of the material ourselves and have a contractor doing the installation. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Lowe's based on the $120 installation rebate offered. The sales associate assured us that even though Lowe's was not doing the installation, the rebate would still be valid as long as the dishwasher was more than $497 (which it was). We received a letter today stating that we were not eligible to receive the rebate because we did not purchase insulation. WHAT?!?!?! This was in no way disclosed at the time of purchase and we were specifically told several times that as long as the price was over $497 then we qualified to receive the rebate and nowhere in the paperwork does it require the additional purchase of insulation. It seems to me that Lowe's is resorting to some very deceitful tactics in an attempt to take advantage of their customers and avoid paying out the rebates. Congratulations Lowe's, if you don't make this right, the dishwasher and all the other merchandise we purchased that day are all still in their boxes and they're coming right back. I'll happily shop where they actually value my business and honor their rebates/offers.
