Wal-Mart Complaint - BAD consumer communications and mechanics of operation.
DUNNELLON, FLORIDA -- Until I had the site-to-store terrible experience, I was formerly a loyal Walmart customer. WHEN you have a problem, you realize how loosely structured the company really is and have little concern for consumer satisfaction. Rollbacks will NOT be enough to offset this fact.
The customer anticipating a site-to-store purchase should be aware of the following: 1.Site-to-Store, as the Walmart manager of my local store advised me, IS NOT WALMART, but rather an ONLINE AGENT for Walmart. 2.Walmart stores do NOT man the site to store PickUp area with store personnel. Rather, there is a console which is 'supposed' to summons a 'front end' non busy member which can take upwards of 15 minutes or more to respond. 3. WHEN you buy using site-to-store, YOUR CREDIT CARD IS CHARGED IMMEDIATELY, which, IMO, is wrong, very wrong.
Why this is wrong is very apparent. IF, for some reason, the item is not picked up or defective or incorrect, a time frame must expire, and you are told that the 'refund'(misnomer) will take upwards of 2 billing cycles to appear on your statement. Translation, you will be charged INTEREST on your credit card for merchandise never received in the first place..wrong, very wrong. This is a stacked deck against the consumer where only the vendor wins. In my case, when I could not effect an in store Pickup due to their error, I immediately filed a dispute with the Walmart discover card to prevent interest being charged on a non-purchased item. So, folks, its CAVEAT EMPTOR, when you try dealing with a company that acts as an AGENT for Walmart. As a result, I no longer have my car serviced at their express tire and lube for tires or oil change. The auto dept. manager contributed to that bad situation as well through her lack of customer care or consideration. The stores' location is in dunnellon Florida FYI and is declining in customer service almost daily. The tires ordered had already been put in a 'special bin', therefore she KNEW they had been paid for, yet refused to begin the install until 'site to store' was cleared. On that particular morning there were NO site to store personnel available and thus my inline status of being the first customer changed and I would have had to wait an inordinate period of time for what should have been a timely install. The community surrounding this hometown store is small and word of mouth is quick modality of communications. A sidebar to note for future consumers. The viva 2 'Goodyear' tire is especially made for Walmart, but is NOT, I repeat, IS NOT a true Goodyear tire but what the tire industry refers to as a BRANDED tire, which I leared from a true Goodyear store where I ultimately purchased the needed tires.
