WESLEY CHAPEL, FLORIDA -- I brought my car in for service (a 2000 Celica), and when I tried to drive away from the dealership, the power steering was completely gone. I had never had a problem with it before, but after they fixed an unrelated problem, the car was almost undriveable; I didn't even make it out of the parking lot.
Wesley Chapel Toyota wanted to charge me $500 to replace the power steering pump which broke while the car was in their shop.
This wasn't the first time I brought my car there for service and something suddenly broke while the car was in their shop.
I recommend avoiding their service department.

I am so sorry this happened. I can assure you that we would NEVER intentionally harm your vehicle. We are a family owned and operated dealership that works off referrals and building relationships that last. If we did this we would be out of business very quickly! While the timing is extremely unfortunate, we offered to do this at our own cost. Again, I am sorry your experience was sub par, and I hope we get another chance to make it right!

Wesley chapel, no offense but aren't you a year late and $500 short? I've never had anything unrelated break while a car was in for service.
Look at the list of complaints here - bait and switch, poor service, brake recall problems made worse, etc etc. Seems to me that a more proactive approach to making your customers satisfied may be in order, but I am just judging from what I am reading.
