Bank of America Complaint - Discriminatory treatment after bankruptcy
When I became disabled my income reduced considerably. I was no longer able to keep up with my financial obligations. I finally filed for bankruptcy. The papers I signed in filing bankruptcy specifically did NOT include my mortgage and REAFIRMED the mortgage contract. I went on line today to make my May 2010 mortgage payment. I found a message my account needed special attention & I could not make my online payment. I called.
Because of the bankruptcy they will NOT accept my online payments & said I had to speak to another department to learn how I had to handle making payments now. I am not a "second class" citizen nor "dirt under their feet" and should not be treated any differently. My payments should be accepted the same as they have been. Nothing has changed as I signed reaffirmation of the debt and kept Bank of America out of the bankruptcy. This is blatant discrimination & "punishment" by Bank of America. I do not deserve this mistreatment from them. I am not a bad person. My bankruptcy does not harm nor affect Bank of America. Now be fair & accept my payments the same as you have for years!
