Acer Complaint - Acer is just plain awful
So I bought my netbook in February of 2009 for portability for college and for $300.00 I thought I got a good deal. Unfortunately by about October the performance was terrible and it eventually wouldn't boot up went down so I took it to a local repair store for them to take a look. I was informed that it was unrepairable and that I could get an exchange from the manfacturer Acer under warranty. Good thing I backed up my important files and I'm thinking 2-3 weeks won't be to bad...5 MONTHS LATER!! For the first 3 months I would call and be told that they never even made it to my claim yet. Going on to month 4 I contact the local repair store for a status update and they inform me that I need to send another receipt with the sales information, so I do. Give it a couple weeks call back and no word from Acer still. Call again a week later and finally they got to me. After another week I finally get the call to pickup my replacement...but it doesn't end here. I go to pick up my laptop and the guy just hands me the netbook and the power cord on top WITH NO BOX. All that trouble and they don't give me an apology, or a box for my netbook. I get home and I discover they didn't even give me the SD card for the expansion slot. Thanks to this situation I will never buy an ACER anything again!
