Hair Cuttery Complaint - Unrelentless pushing of Rewards Card

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- I was a customer of my local Hair Cuttery for a couple of months. The hair stylists do a great job and are very friendly. Unfortunately, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

My complaint is with the new Rewards Card program this company is evidently forcing them to push on their customers. The first time around, I let them explain the benefits of their card (discounted hair products, coupons, etc.). I do not like getting spam email (who does?), so I politely declined. However, she was relentless. "It only takes a couple of seconds"..."It's free"...etc.

So whatever. I signed up. Gave them my name, address, phone number (with specific instructions to not mail me anything, nor call me) and an email address that I do not monitor. I was given the card which I promptly tossed in the garbage can once I got back outside (wallet is bulky enough without it). I thought that was the end of it.

Next time I returned for a trim, I go through the same spiel. I let them know I signed up the last time I visited. We try a number of different ways to find my membership in the computer (name, phone number, email, etc), but they can't pull me up. So they spend another 5 minutes (enough time to get my trim and get out of there) getting all my info again to get me another rewards account.

A few days ago, I went back. Same process...they can't find my info and want me to sign up AGAIN. I declined this time, thanked them for their services over the last few months, and walked out.

Perhaps keeping the card they gave me would make it simpler, but I shouldn't need a license (more or less) to stop in for a haircut.

Went down the street to SuperCuts and was in and out...no hassles, no memberships, etc.

Convenience and quick service are huge factors when staying loyal to a business of this nature. I think Hair Cuttery has some changes to consider.
