Comed Complaint - Over billed by Comed

ILLINOIS -- I like eveyone else got way over billed in the month of February. It was more than triple what I have ever pain. When someone finally called my back they said it was an actual reading as opposed to an estimate. I told them my bill has never been that high and please look into in. I was told by the wonderful customer service lady that I should go and read the meter myself... Needless to say they are still looking into this,, I don't see a resolution

Did you go out and read your meter as suggested? That would, in an instant, tell you if the reading was not accurate. Even if it was a bad reading and it was high, the next reading would be way lower and you would have a lot smaller bill. Just go out and read your meter and you will know for sure>

Also... out of curiosity how bad was the weather that month?

I know for me the bills are usually higher in the winter because of the cold, especially since we're not allowed to turn the heat lower than a specific temperature.

here, the spring & summer are easier... can just leave the thing off.

ComEd does have a history of overcharging their customers.

They may overcharge you one month, but the actual meter reading has to level things out. Just read the d--n meter yourself.

Ah... I was wondering how that was pronounced.
My mind was reading it pronounced like "combed"
