Cal'z Pizza Compliment - Great pizza Cal'z! - Cal'z pizza

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA -- Yesterday afternoon I wasn't feeling so well (something I ate earlier, maybe), so I wasn't sure if I was going to want dinner, much less cook dinner.

Well, 7pm comes around and I'm feeling a little better, and I'm pretty hungry. I really, *really* hate talking on the phone to order anything, so I check out my options for ordering online.

One local place popped up, Cal'z pizza. I have ordered from them in the past (usually subs, which are very good, too), but not for a long time. I asked my husband what he wanted, and we ended up agreeing on a weekly special (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) that was a <$10 pepperoni and cheese pizza, delivered.

Wow! Exactly what I wanted. A nice chewy fresh crust, slices of mozzarella instead of shredded, and just slightly spicy pepperoni. Absolutely delicious.

The young man that delivered my pizza was extremely polite, and that's always a plus in my book.

I was blown away by the exceptional taste and quality, and this is my new #1 fave pizza joint here.

I highly recommend this local joint to anyone that comes to Virginia Beach. They have 4 locations in Virginia Beach, and 4 in Norfolk.

This is very nice. This morning, I emailed Cal'z to let them know of my good experience with them last night, and I just got an email back giving me a huge thank you, signed by Cal.

I usually get pizza from Little Ceasers because its $5 for a large pepperoni pizza. All pepperoni pizza, no matter what restauant, tastes the same to me.

I don't think I've ever had a pizza with the cheese not shredded.. but I like that idea! We have a lot of pizza places here, most of them privately owned, so I always have plenty of choices. But it's nice to have one or two favorites that can always be relied on for good service. That's almost as important as the food. And pizza is the perfect food.
