I purchased a home theater system at Circuit City before their bankrupcy. I was told that the company that handles the extended warranty will honor the contract and will provide great customer service. I called Advantage Assurance Solutions to place a repair claim for my home theater system. During my first call I was informed that they do not repair nor they replace the unit. I was told I will get my money back AND ASKED ME INFORMATION ABOUT HOW MUCH I PAID FROM MY SALES RECEIPT. They made me believe that they were refunding the money I paid for the unit. It was a LIE and they misled me. The contract manager told me to send the home theater system to them by UPS. They arranged the labels and they paid for the shipping. I was also informed that as soon as they received the unit and check will be mailed to me. I RECEIVED A LESSER AMOUNT OF WHAT I PAID FOR. I HAVE CALLED THEM MULTIPLE TIMES AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THAT THE MONEY THEY SENT ME IS ALL THEY CAN GIVE ME. THEY SAID THAT THEY CALCULATED THE AMOUNT BASED ON WHAT THEY WOULD PAY TO REPLACE IT.
THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I BOUGHT IN 2007 INDICATES THAT MONEY BACK GARANTEE.
BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM CIRCUIT CITY INCLUDING CIRCUIT CITY ONLINE.
