Bob Howard's Crown BMW, Jeep, Buick Complaint - Customer Service - 1995 Buick Regal GS

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- This complaint is in regard to my white 1995 Buick Regal GS which I bought from Bob Howard's
Crown Buick in 1998 (although it wasn't Bob Howard's at the time, it was when I first
approached the dealership about the paint).
Around 2000, the paint started to fall off in sheets. I now have a car that has a very large rust spot on the roof, a hood that is almost completely primer & additional spots on the trunk & around the windows, etc. that are all doing the same thing. I have brought this to Crown's attention on several occasions & have gotten unacceptable & patronizing results each time~ranging from the car had a cheap paint job to there's too many miles on it. Neither which is true. I have documents which contain statments from General Motors admiting that the delamination is a factory defect & the vehicle should be repainted at no expense to the owner regardless of mileage & original ownership if the paint started to peel within 6 (although GM tried to secretly change that to 5, it was brought to court & changed back to the original 6 year period)years of the model year. The documents also state that all dealerships were made aware of this & they were to repaint the vehicles. I feel that I was lied to & Crown didn't even look into it. I guess they figured because I was a woman, a widow & on a limited income I would just go away & take their answers as truth. The whole situation has had me so angered, but I haven't pursued it again until now due to physical & financial problems & the fact that as I was driving down the street this morning I was afraid I would get cited for littering as the paint was flying off the hood in sheets & I was only
going 40 M.P.H.! I've had it~~I can't afford a new paint job & shouldn't have to pay for it & I certainly can't afford a new car! I will never buy another car from any of Bob Howard's dealerships again & I will tell anyone who will listen what kind of service, rather lack of service, I have gotten from them.
