Home Depot Complaint - "NO WORK, NO PAY"
RANSON, WEST VIRGINIA -- On Mothers Day morning, 5/9/10, I called Home Depot in Ranson, West Virginia at 7:03 AM because they are scheduled to be opened at 7 AM. I went through the automated prompts for the Lawn & Garden Dept. The call was routed back to Security. I told Security I pressed the right prompts but he told me they "really don't open until 8 AM". I re called back at 7:30 AM anyway and went through the prompts for the garden dept and someone picked up in the garden dept. but promptly told me they "don't help anyone until 8 AM". I called back at 1 PM, the garden dept answered and I asked them about the availability of a stocked tree. Quickly and without even checking they told they didn't carry the item and hung up! Why post hours of operation if they lie about the true time they are open? This retail business should be ready and waiting to answer customer calls when they advertise the time they are open. Please don't take my word for it. Have one of your over paid execs call them yourselves and roll play the same scenario to investigate.
Naturally, I'll never shop there again.... BUT I would like to apply for employment there and be paid to do nothing!
