British Airways Complaint - lost baggage claim
NEWARK AIRPORT, NEW JERSEY -- My advice: stay clear of BA. When they lose your luggage their customer service department goes under deep cover. Try and find them. It's easier to find a needle in the proverbial haystack. Our luggage finally resurfaced after 10 days in Europe without a stitch of clothing! Naturally our vacation plans had to be adjusted (greatly!) in order for us to purchase new clothing. Now, over a month later, still no word from BA except auto responses to my emails. My "email is very important to them"....so much so that the bills from our credit card purchases are waiting to be paid and BA is nowhere to be found. We, of course, expect them to completely cover our expenses. But we did expect them to do so quickly.....say as quickly as they lost our suitcase! Their demeanor is just shocking and I gather they're so slow because they actually lose over 4% of their checked luggage. Stay clear of BA and enjoy your trip. Unfortunately we did not enjoy ours. The new clothes were bought too quickly, were uncomfortable, and too much time had to be spent in shopping, not our favorite travel activity.
