Italian Kitchen Cafe Complaint - Unhappy Mother's Day

Review by Justice4me on 2010-05-09
RIVERVIEW, FLORIDA -- We wanted to have Italian Food and because it was Mother's Day most places were already booked. It was a last minute decision of choice, however it was close to home. The food was not very good and the charge for a salad $5.50 with nothing in it but lettuce. Glass of horrible Sangria was $7.50 per glass. My husband and daughter-in- law had a pasta dish where the noodles were over cooked and stuck together. There was a big add in the window from the Tampa Tribune Review on how good the food was, it was completly wrong. No bread was served with dinner and the salad was extra. The service sucked and for $152.64 I have never been so disapointed!!! I would not ever go there again!! We were not told that the salad was not included the waitress just asked wheer we wanted soup or salad with our meal!!

Usually if you're asked if you want soup or salad, it's included in the price of the meal. But if you're not sure, you should always check the menu or ask. Those prices do sound high. Maybe they were raised for Mother's Day. And I have never been in an Italian restaurant that didn't serve bread. A busy holiday is not the best time to judge a restaurant. But I don't blame you for not going back.

7.50 for even a bad glass of wine isn't out of line these days, I was dismayed to find my wife's Bacardi and Coke was 7.00 at California Pizza Kitchen over the weekend.
