SkullCandy Complaint - Never again - Skull Candy Earbuds

Skull Candy Earbuds - Complaint
Review by Rachj29 on 2010-05-09
I wanted really great earphones for working out. Previously, had my generic ipod earbuds, which broke and prior to that had tried previous brands, but wasn't head over heels with them, and didn't expect to be, as they were under $20. I actually bought a cheap pair of headphones at Walgreens, which were terrible and decided to invest in headphones that I thought would deliver great sound and stay in my ear while working out. Had heard the name skull candy, so picked up the smokin' ear buds. They suck. They do not stay in my ears when I move and the music fades in and out. Granted, my ear canals may be small, but these were the worst waste of money. Going back to Best buy to try a different brand. Anyway, really not impressed

I am not a fan of earbuds, either. I see people just put theirs up to their ears and they stay. I suspect the coat the earbuds with glue first. I have actually caused myself pain trying to get earbuds to stay in my ears, but they fall out without even exercise to blame for it. Maybe my ears are weird, but I have not found one pair of earbuds that will hang in there. I have a big set of headphones with a built in subwoofer that are fantastic, even though I look like a WWII bomber pilot. When I first saw the title, I thought it would be about Dia De Los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead.

bleh earbuds.

only been one pair of earbuds ive ever liked
and that was only because it was some kind of sport edition (nike actually) that allowed me to kinda clip the buds over my ears.

seriously i must have small ear canals or something. buds usually jump out of them. these days i either wear "micky mouse" style headphones or something that clips on my ear.

oh and the old nike ones... kinda. i tried to replace them but the new pair had a seriously short cord so that was kinda useless.

so my personal advice - clip headphones. not style with the band that goes on your head cos... well that sucks for working out too, but rather ones with separate speakers that clip over each ear. less likely to fall off.

I have a pair of Ink'd Skullcandy in ear buds I leave in my purse. Got them for 12 bucks at FYE so I can't complain. The sound isn't great but they come with 3 different size ear rubbers so you can pick the right size, for me it's medium, the small is seriously child sized.

I can't use the hard plastic earbuds. They look like flying saucers. I use the soft, silicon in the ear buds. They are very comfy. I got mine from Verizon for my Blackberry.
