Save Rite, Marietta, GA Complaint - Customer Service and Product Sold

Review by Johnnie on 2004-12-01
MARIETTA, GEORGIA -- At one time, Save Rite (Marietta, GA; Roswell Road) was not only our first choice for shopping, but actually the only store we would consider patronizing. As it happens, however, within the past year, we have found Save Rite's customer service serverely lacking. It would seem that the employees care very little for their work and in providing customer service. When you look to management for aid is when you should leave the store shaking your head.

It used to be that Winn Dixie/Save Rite was known for their produce and their quality meat selection. That is a time now past. I recently bought meat that had turned and the green side was packaged "down". Even as something as small as an onion...while preparing dinner last night, I cut into a store-bought Save Rite vidalia onion only to find the four outer layers black and unusable. Because it was too late to run back to the store (a MAJOR inconvenience), I was able to provide the "flavor" of onion by utilizing the utmost interior of the onion. I work hard for my money and buying this type of inferior product is unacceptable.

In addition to the supposed "discount" store, Save Rite, I shopped for Pepsi this very evening and one twelve-pack was priced $4.39. If you don't know, you can buy Pepsi ANYWHERE else for at least more than one dollar off of that inflated price.

What's going on with this company? We are So disappointed.

How can you blame the store for bad produce. They have no way of seeing what the inside of the item looks like.As far as the meat I find it hard to believe they would put something out there like that, all green on one side.Tho Winn Dixie may be struggling right now I think the last thing there going to do is want to get the store shut down by the health dept. or fined for something so dumb.As far as pepsi goes unless its on sale like 3 for $8 or something like that it's pretty close to that price. It doesnt matter if it's publix, albertsons or any other chain it's going to cost alot.Maybe you need to stop by and talk to the manager and let him know what you have come across and tell him your ideals to help with the products.
