Radio Shack Complaint - False service plan - Phone replacement
ATLANTA, GA -- I also purchased the replacement phone plan and I'm VERY unhappy with the results. My phone is about 16 months old and the hing on the back of the flip phone snapped off. I called the customer service phone number and was told I would receive a box to send back my broken phone in within 2 days. 5 days pass no box. I called the customer service phone again and was told that same thing but this time I did receive the shipping box. I shipped back my phone and within a week a received my phone back in the same condition it left in. They did not fix a dang thing. I called the customer service number back and asked why I paid 60 dollars for a plan that covered NOTHING! The customer service put me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back and told me the problem with my phone is not covered under the warranty. I asked the customer service representative just what is covered under the plan. She told me that the hing on the back of the phone is covered but since the service department said its not covered there was nothing that could be done. I asked for the phone number to the service department and she replied that they do not have a customer phone line to the service department. This plan is absolute CRAP! I will let everyone know what kind of service or lack there of, this company gives. I will NEVER buy anything else from this company.
