Zipzoomfly.com Complaint - Wretched company, horrible customer service. NEVER AGAIN.
NEWARK, CALIFORNIA -- I recently purchased some RAM from zipzoomfly based on price comparison research from Bing.com. I also purchased though Bing because they (zzf) participated in the Cashback program. The description stated I was purchasing one (1) stick of RAM totaling 4GB. I purchased two (2) for a grand total of 8GB. I ended up waiting longer for my order to arrive than I had been led to believe and when it finally arrived, I found that I received the wrong parts. They ended up sending (2) 4GB kits (which means I received four (4) 2GB sticks) which I could not use and did not want. I contacted ZZF and they were VERY unsupportive and it was clear they could not care less about the mistake. They would not agree to send the correct part. After some discussion with both the customer service person and their manager, it turns out ZZF mis-advertised the part and used the wrong SKU / Part Number. Let's be clear -- THIS WAS TOTALLY THEIR FAULT. Again, they could have exchanged the incorrect parts for the correct ones but refused to do so unless I paid the price difference, which was HUGE. To add insult to injury, they agreed to refund my money after I returned the parts at my expense, and *** HERE'S THE KICKER *** they charged me a 15% restocking fee!!! Needless to say, my Cashback through Bing was also cancelled by the following day.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! DO NOT GET SUCKED IN BY THE ILLUSION OF CHEAP PRICES. Do your homework and you are guaranteed to find another -- A REPUTABLE ONE -- at a comparable price. Maybe a better price, maybe slightly higher, but I would rather pay a bit more than deal with a nightmare company like Zipzoomfly.com ever again.
