Teleflora Complaint - Ruined Mother's Day!

Review by MD23 on 2010-05-11
I ordered what I thought was a lovely arrangement for my 82-year-old mom on Mother's Day. When she sent me a photo of what she'd received, I was shocked to find a basket of what appeared to be yard clippings, tastelessly arranged. Instead of the roses, lilies, and asters I'd ordered, the florist had substituted carnations, gerbera daisies, and stock - the cheapest flowers to be had. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes (!) with Teleflora's customer service, I was told that the florist would re-deliver the arrangement with a note of apology "ASAP", possibly the same day. Four days, four emails, and two phone calls later, Mother's Day has long gone....no contact from the florist and no follow up from Teleflora. Their product quality is poor and their customer service is awful. I will never use this firm again and would not recommend it to anyone.
Company Response on 05/12/2010:
I'm very sorry to hear you had a less than fantastic experience with Teleflora and our member florist. I'd like to make sure that the matter is resolved, and hope you'll get in touch with me at care (at) teleflora {dot} com to share your order confirmation number so I can make the sure the matter is at least satisfactorily closed.

"a basket of what appeared to be yard clippings" - great analogy!

Carnations and daisies. Sounds like a college homecoming corsage! Hopefully Mom understood. Maybe you can send her a nice floral smelling candle as a replacement....

I don't think they ruined Mother's Day for you. Your mother received something and realized you were thinking about her. It's not your fault and your mom probably understands that.
