Showtime Tickets Complaint - Scoundrels - Event Ticket Brokerage
VANCOUVER -- We booked tickets to the Eagles in Vancouver a month before the concert. By the day we had to leave for Vancouver, we still had not received the tickets. I called the office and they said they did not have my requested tickets, but offered me tickets on the floor. Now, we deliberately chose tickets NOT located on the floor, as we've experienced that before and you end up not being able to see the stage. They told us to come to their office on the night of the concert, ANYTIME after 5pm. So we went at 7:45pm, just ahead of the 8pm start-time for the concert (a few blocks away). They close at 6pm. So what does ANYTIME after 5pm mean? Fortunately there was an employee just walking out and I called out to him and asked him what he would suggest we do. He said the concert started at 6:30pm (WRONG!) and how long was he supposed to sit there and wait for me to pick up the tix??? He said they called me twice, but there were no missed calls or messages on our cellphone, which was the number they had. Finally we got some tix, not where we requested them. $179.50 tickets for $295 each. That's one heck of a markup, don't you think? I thought scalping was illegal??? We were so upset and stressed out by this company it took us awhile to calm down and enjoy the concert.
Showtime has left a horrible taste in our mouth that will always be associated with Vancouver and this concert, which was a gift for my husband's birthday. I feel this company are borderline crooks. PLEASE, do NOT support these antics by buying tix from this company. The employee who supplied the tickets had the audacity to laugh at our distress!!!
