Mr. Sprinkler Irrigation Complaint - Promised service not provided--appointment not kept, no follow-up

ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA -- In 2009, I had the company provide an estimate for an irrigation system installation at my residence. I ultimately chose another company due to preferred pricing, but referred a friend to Mr. Sprinkler. My friend ended up using Mr. Sprinkler, at which time I was to get a free system blow-out for my system due to the referral. However, my installer already was providing one, so Mr. Sprinkler agreed to provide a free start up in 2010. I called April 22, 2010 to get a free start-up and also to move some sprinkler heads. I left a voicemail to that effect. Mr. Sprinkler didn't immediately return my call, and I followed up April 24 at which time Mark said he had been busy with other customers/work but acknowledged receiving my message. During our conversation, we scheduled May 1, 2010 for the work I discussed above. I asked about the time he would come out; he indicated between 8:00 AM and 12:00 noon. Mark did mention that he needed to confirm the date time and would let me know if there was a scheduling issue. I believe he was in the field at the time of my second call. On May 1, neither Mark nor a representative showed up. I also did not receive a call from Mr. Sprinkler indicating there was any issue with my May 1st appointment. In early afternoon of May 1, I called Mr. Sprinkler and left a voicemail inquiring as to their location, why they didn't show up, and to give me call. They have not returned my call as of May 13, 2010.
