Ferman Chevrolet Complaint - Ferman Chevrolet Horrible Service

TAMPA, FLORIDA -- The side storage compartment locks do not operate properly. Took to Ferman, showed the service writer the problem. Vehicle under warranty. Went to pick up vehicle and nothing was done. Service writer stated that the technician had to see the problem personally and that he could not duplicate, stated that it did not matter that she saw the problem. Talked to service mgr who said she should have replaced the locks under warranty, that they had the locks in stock. No problem, bring vehicle back, blah, blah, blah...Brought it back the locks were to be replaced, however, at end of day they were not, because the technician was putting graphite into the cylinders to see if he could get the locks to work. No mention of replacing the locks, in fact the nearest locks were in Georgia or Cape Coral, 2 hours away. So, Ferman lied about the whole thing. The also did not give us paperwork, until we asked, then gave us paper stating that no work was performed because customer picked up vehicle. Although, they did go back and acknowledge the problem and changed the paperwork before we left. We had similar honesty issues with them over the years and stopped going there, however, I got a "Free oil change" coupon and decided to go for that and a couple other issues. Never again. We have owned probably 20 Chevrolets over the years and gone to numerous dealers in several states, without any doubt, Ferman is the worst, and it seems to not be an isolated event, but standard procedure.
