Startec Global Communications Complaint - Started charging money without providing any services
ALABAMA -- I was always upset with the level of service I am getting from Startec: dropped calls and etc. Finally I found another company and this company became a provider for a long distance service in my house. Every time, when I made a direct phone call abroad, the call went through this company.
Recently I noticed that I had a small charge on my credit card statement (something around $3) from Startec. I started to check my other statements and found that they kept charging my credit card for more than a year. I called them, and they told me that nobody contacted them to cancel the account and nobody will refund my money. I cancelled my account, we agreed that my balance is zero now and no more charges will appear on my credit card, but in a month again: new charge!!! I called Startec and talked to Chris (73082), and he told me that I still have to pay them something inspite of the promises that they will not charge my credit card anymore.
I could not imagine that it took me more than a year to get rid of this company! Stay away from them. If they get your credit card, they just simply charge it every month non-stop even if they are not your provider anymore!
