DirecTV Inc Complaint - Poor Customer Service? Get to a Supervisor!
Resolution Update on 01/07/2013:
Got to a supervisor and they got the right people here to resolve the problem
Installer had not hooked up installed cable on old receiver and our new TV! Found that out when one-half day later no signal was being received.
Initial installer gave me his cell number if there was a problem. We called. 24 hours later no response. He was the 2nd Tech to come on a rainy day with no protective cover to protect our carpeting! Called company. NO, they don't provide Techs with 'booties.'
Today, called corporate-was told within 20 minutes I would receive a call back. NEVER happened! Hour later I called to report the situation.
Told that individual I would be gone until 2 PM and they could call then - I had no other phone number.
This time my message was not delivered and the local office called back to talk within 20 minutes with NOBODY home.
I called corporate and was told TOMORROW. When I finally spoke to the local installer I was also told TOMORROW. Raised the issue of having paid for one-half day of service and believed I deserved a credit for the non-use days (2) but was told corporate took care of that! I was to call them.
Spoke to that person's supervisor who requested the service papers from the installer and was promised a call back within an hour!
BUYER BEWARE- it could be your story next. Well, my advice is to talk to a supervisor!
That Supervisor not only called the local troubleshooter but called me back and then after the job contacted the troubleshooter. All this in less than ONE HOUR.
This troubleshooter came with foot protection, great customer skills and found the problem with little effort!
LESSON: Get to a Supervisor! Some people have a job that they do for money. Report the slackers to supervisors. I got the ear of someone who got the right person there and resolved the issue to my utmost satisfaction!
With ANY agency there are a few slackers who spoil the reputation of a business and those who call expecting their help.
