T-Mobile Complaint - Satellite calls from cell phone
I have made calls to a satellite phone from my cell phone for more than a year. T-Mobile initially told me when I first called over a year ago to check the cost for these calls that it would only be deducted from my minutes, nothing more. For almost a year, the calls never even showed up on my bill. When I called to tell them the calls were not showing up on the bill, they still said that it would cost nothing, only minute deduction. Two months ago they started charging me $8.99/minute and my bill was $1600.00. I dealt with customer service for about two weeks and after being called a liar, went to the escalation team. The escalation team rep in the executive offices told me that the sattelite service providers actually report these calls to the cell phone providers and then it is billed to the cell phone customer. After calling the sattelite service provider as well as the satellite company, both told me that they absolutely do not report incoming phone calls to other cell phone providers and that they would be willing to conference call with t-mobile and correct their mis-information. I was also told that I am not the only customer that has called them and asked them about the satellite call reporting and that other t-mobile customers have called and complained about the same thing. If anyone else has been told by T-mobile that satellite calls are reported by the satellite service provider and then billed to the cell phone customer, could you please get in touch with me as I am having the same problem.
