Norton Antivirus with Antispyware Complaint - Rotten Service
When I purchased a new computer earlier this year I purchased Norton Antivirus. Last week I had a problem, despite running Nortons product on a regualr basis. I alled Norton and got someone from India who was alsost impossible to understand and kept calling me Mr Kevin which really annoyed me.
They went on line and after 45 minutes told ne I had a registry problem not covered by the Norton Antivirus. They informed me that a Microsoft technician had to reinstate and recover the computer. They then quoted me $135 to do so. I had a feeling they would try to charge me from the beginning.
Nortons front cover of their Antivirus 2010clearly states Fee Support 24/7. This is a big rip off, I can't get hold of anyone at their corporate office to complain. I am not happy about giving my Credit Card details to anyone in India as there have been a lot of scams with people selling credit card info which is then abused.
Any way, take my advice before buyin Symantic problems and look elsewhere.
