Eset Complaint - Eset Nod32 Review, Smart Security Review

Review by Gari981 on 2010-05-20
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- After installing this eset nod32 scamm on my machine, it crashed it and caused blue screen of death. I contacted their support center in San Diego and ended up talking to someone in a Communist country. I have no issue with that, but they had an attitude on the phone and they would not accept fault with their program. God's know who trains these people but I cannot believe they argue with me in such as negative way. I have never felt so discussed with a software company and eset sets the lowest standards of all

To add insult to injury, when I got the computer fixed by a technician at Bestbuy he discovered eset had destroyed my previous anti-virus program and unleashed viruses on my computer. Eset - thank you for your destroying my computer and thanks for awful customer service. you should be more humble and apologize for the loss of data I have incurred. I lost lots of data on my computer thanks to you. My advice, do you research on these vendors that are based in Communist countries. Only buy American like McAfee, Norton and others. I won't trust eset ever again and their awful nod32 smart security scam.

Who will refund me for the loss of my computer and all its data. Definitely not the scammers at eset. I am very upset and don't know what to do. I hope my advise helps others to stay clear of this company

I also dug around and found that I am not alone - there are lots of complaints on eset and how it has left users in the lurch - there are number on Ripoffreport.com

Well, thanks for the info. Interesting. I'll stick with my Norton since it's worked for me for years now. Some members here like AVG, too.

Hello, I read the instructions about removing anti-virus before hand. Still Eset screwed my PC. The fact is eset nod32 should not be sold on the market. Eset nod32 or eset smart security are scammers from Eastern Europe- sorry to say

I purchased ESET NOD32 (Version 4) in 2010 from a retailer, where I can use my credit card relatively comfortable or pay cash. It is suitable. Unfortunately, the retailer's new price is $10.00 more than ESET is advertising. Please do not purchase Kaspersky AV 2012 (124MB).

Currently, using Super Antispyware free version and Microsoft Security Essentials.
