Cadillac/GM Complaint - Cadillac isn't "Luxury" if it doesn't work
I own a 2004 Cadillac SRX. I bought it used with 28k miles on it and after only putting 5k miles on it my transmission blew up. I called Cadillac customer service assuming they would help with the cost of the repair. They said that due to the fact that it was used and the treatment of the vehicle prior to my ownership is unknown, they were unable to help me. I am a 2-time Cadillac owner and was disgusted by this! Regardless of the treatment of the vehicle for the first 20k miles...the transmission should be fine!!! I was so disappointed in Cadillac that they weren't willing to back up their product when there was clearly a faulty product. I was so disappointed that I had chose to pay to fix the car and then take a financial hit just to get rid of the Cadillac. I do not want to advertise for Cadillac when they are such a terrible customer service company to their loyal customers. Cadillac is about as luxury as a Kia.
