DirecTV Inc Complaint - Wrong right off the bat
I spoke with a Manager at Direct TV about there services. I asked the manager point blank do you have a receiver that can control all the TVs in the house. ex. you only have a remote in each room not a receiver. He said yes we sure do. I also asked after I pay my first bill can I have my billing date moved to the 25th of each month. He said yes sure you can (I recorded all calls). The installer came to the house and with in the first 30 minutes he made a raciest joke. At that time I also found out that Direct TV does NOT have a receiver that can operate all the TVs in the house. So the manager point blank lied to me. When the installer put the reviver in the living room I was in the kitchen and herd a loud noise. The receiver was making a loud vibrating noise. I told him it shouldn't be making that noise and he said "put a towel under it and it will stop". I told him I wouldn't do that and I wanted a new receiver. He got very mad and barged out talking about my wife and I under his breath. At that point I had to tell him if he couldn't improve his attitude I would be forced to kick him out of my home. At that point he finished the installation but didn't clean up after him self or move the furniture back to its place. And this is leaving out a lot of tins moments. Make a long story short. He ended up doing 100% of the installation wrong and I had to have another installer come out to do it right. A few days latter I payed my bill on line and called to move my billing date to the 25 like the manager said I could. At that point I spoke with another manager and she said you can not move your billing date. At that point I told her I worked for a law office and since I had all the conversation with direct TV recorded I would have to file a formal complaint. She said that was fine. But I guess the realization set in before I hung up and she told me she could move it to the 30th of the month and would give me a $50 credit on my account.... How is this company still in business.
