Comcast Corporation Complaint - Send Customer Service to Remedial Training
PHILLY, PENNSYLVANIA -- It started by my response to a bundling offer. I live in a rural area so the cable, internet, and phone guys all had monopolies on 1 or 2 media but not all which means they overcharge everyone at the highest rates they can.
I was also moving my business 300 yards west on the same street same town.
they first came to new location, spent 3 hours to run 2 lines, the purpose was to maintain current building but have phone service at new location so my security system could be monitored. they stubbed 2 lines with no connections, phone boxes, or service. They then cut off my current service fro 2 days while I called every 4 hours. NO internet, no phone, NO CREDIT CARD SALES.
After 10 days and at least 10 hours of phone calls, they finally got me set up. ( I accumulated 3 new account numbers laong the way for whatever reason, Most of my time was wasted by them looking for me. It seems the address, name, or phone number could not point them in the right direction.
OK, 2 months later I have reduced cable channels. I was specific that I did not want to loose any service level by asking the 2 yr commitment. Coincidentally, 32 days later I get my service changed to basic. I call and email, they say if I want to get that service again, I have to pay $39.95, DESPITE what they told me b4. SO, I say OK, just get it done.
I get an email with an electronic signature for contract change. Oh, but they can't figure out how to actaully send a electronic sign off.
(Although they did b4) SO, I call back give me fax # or re-send a real sign able contract. They have no working faxes! Then I get a call. They don't offer me this service for $39.95 it is now $69.95. This of course cuts the exact amount that I was saving by making the switch. I offered a compromise of 30 first yr and their bait and switch price for the second, NO RESPONSE.
At this point, 3 days later, no one will return calls or emails. They will of course want their money each month and hold ME to the contract. By the way the bill showed up at the right address only 6 days after they finally got service to me.
I have to say in closing that they are probably no worse than their competitors; which of course is the true tragedy and they epitaph of a once proud adn able country!
