Budget Rent-A-Car Complaint - On line reservation, bait an switch
I had payed cash for everything online for a vacation, I was up at 2am went to Chicago, to Dullles and had planned to drive to Richmond for 4 days, The statement regarding a possible hold on a credit card which one is very grey and is all the way at the end, you think your card is all paid for then you show up and they want an extra $100.00 for a security deposit. this is cash out of your credit card or on your debit card. I said if I paid for the car in full, why do you want cash for a security deposit, how more secure can you get when the car is paid for in full, obviously was upset, the 3rd person within the time I was in there that for stupid reasons they did not release a car to. Then they said it would take 7 business days to give a refund, they took it out in one, and was told I would get back my full amount when she was sending me a confirmation email at the time. When I finally arrived at the hotel, which I have nothing but wonderful things to say about, and hotels.com that you got a great rate if you paid in full and the hotel, did hold
$50.00 for any in room dining, movies which was wonderful, after my uncle had to drive 10 hours there and back to the airport, to pick me up, when he is in the middle of remodeling his kitchen, it was nice to know that when I ordered my meal it was paid for.
When I was upset I was told by the manager who was no where near sympathetic
kicked me out of the office, when I was on the phone with my mother, to try to solve the problem, then when I was outside and he heard me call him an a hole kicked me off the lot. They took me to Enterprise which I have rented cars for years. Because I was unable to receive my refund from Budget, which is just making interest and making their balance sheets look like they have more money than they do. Which looks better to stockholders. I was trapped I will make sure it will be brought up to everyone I can, start blogs, call the media and the magazines, the corporation. Also the Chicago media. They have no idea how one customer will reach millions.
