Dish Network Complaint - Poor service
My wife and I are very dissatisfied with DN as we have been getting no service for the past 6 days. We have been with them since Oct. of 2009 and in the last week we have called customer service 8-9 times and all we get is the big runaround they transfer us from one person to another, from one supposed tech to another and one service representative to another and we still get no help. While my wife was talking to customer service the receiver would go off by itself and after a minute or so would come back on by itself and this happened 4-5 times and they act like it is our fault and that we are not doing things right. They claim that we are are not pointing the dish in the right direction or according to the instructions which is pure hogwash as I know how to set directions and read a compass. We live full time in a Motor home and they claim that because the dish is not attached to the MH and that it is on a tripod they do not service it. After much complaining they set up an appointment with a local dealer and they refused to come and service our problem saying they do not work on tripod mounted systems, and other dealers told us they do not service the area we are in. Dn sent us an email confirming the appointment they had made for us and then sent us another saying that we cancelled the appointment which we did not do. We have a service contract with DN for fixing problems we may encounter which they are not providing so we are paying for a service we are not receiving. They say we will owe over $270 dollars to cancel the service which is outrageous as they are in breach of the contract by not providing the service they agreed to and that we are paying for. So to everybody out there with a problem with DN just contact an attorney to see what you can do about the terrible service DN is not providing which they said they would and that like us you are paying for.
