GE CAPITAL CREDIT CARD Complaint - BAD ACCOUNTING - LOUSY SERVICE

FLORIDA -- I bought mdse at Brands Mart and sent a $300. pmt to them to pay-off to avoid finance charges. That was the balance on the account at the time. The following month I received a bill for $270.00. I called them and they only debited my bank for $30.00 instead of $300.00 even though the check is clearly stated as $300.00. That was three months ago and many phone calls trying to correct their mistake. Now they have charged me finance charges, late charges and reported me to the credit bureau. They want me to pay a separate check for $270. of which I say no only because they can come back and collect my initial "intent" of payment of $300. as well as collect again if I send them another payment. They said they made a mistake and I told them if to receive payment is a hazzle, to refund me for a duplicate payment would be impossible. Even my bank sent then a copy of the check that was only paid for $30.00 because they only debited that amount instead of the intended payment. Finally, this month I went to Brandsmart and showed the store manager everything and the nunber of calls I have made in order to straighten out the mistake the finance company that represents them makes. I told Brandsmart to forget me as a customer because I can't deal with GE Capital. I demanded a letter to me and to all the credit bureaus. Let's see 'cause I don't think they know how to fix it. This credit card company is lousy, horrible, the people that work for them are obnoxious and they don't give a cahoon about anything. I am reporting them and have told Brandsmart that they have lost a customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!!! THEY ARE BAD AND MAKE MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MISTAKES..... and what is worth is that they don't know how to correct them. A bad situation that needs to be handled better by GE. I wouldn't hold BrandsMart accountable though. It's not their fault and why penalize yourself if you enjoy shopping there.
