Staples Complaint - Staples Warranty- Do Not Get
I had bought a Dell XPS M1330 from a Staples store store number 1438 in September 2008. As I was convinced by a sales representative to buy this laptop, the customer service was amazing. I got an amazing deal and they added on the warranty assuring me that EVERYTHING.. AND I MEAN everything! They even circled the damage coverage part. However, during the first month the hard drive gave up on me and when I called Staples I was told to direct my complain to Dell!!! so much for a 2 year warranty in which the first year isn't covered. Then about 3 months ago the battery and the charger stopped working shortly after that the the laptop slipped through my hands and the screen cracked. I called Staples warranty center to get my share of the $149 I had paid. I was told I had no damage protection and that I can not get a new charger till the damage was fixed and the battery wasn't covered.
Hence, if I had not told the representative that my screen was cracked I would have a new charger in hand.
Therefore, lesson learned! NEVER TRUST STAPLES WITH THEIR PRODUCTS AS THEY GIVE UP ON YOU IN NO TIME. ALSO, NO POINT IN GETTING A WARRANTY AS IT BASICALLY COVERS NOTHING, Staples finds an excuse one way or another to leave to astray.
We have bought 4 laptops and 2 PCs all from Staples, and I assure you that was the last of what we bought. Now when we need a new product our backs will be turned to Staples.
