Sears Complaint - Sears charges a 15% restocking fee
CALIFORNIA -- Before I purchased a gas weed trimmer at Sears I point blank asked two representatives if I can return the unit with no questions asked. They both said I have 90 days from the purchase date to return the product no questions asked. HOWEVER, what they neglected to tell me is that once used and returned there is a 15% restocking fee. Had I known this little fact I would have not purchased the trimmer. It seems to me that it would be good customer service and common sense to tell a customer about this restocking fee especially after being asked about the return policy specifically. I returned the trimmer and had to go through two managers to have the fee waived, but you can rest assured I will never buy a garden power tool from Sears.
