Justflowers.com Complaint - Just Terrible - Flower Delivery
CALIFORNIA -- My mom is in the hospital and I wanted to send her flowers. I did a Google search and justflowers.com came up with a sponsored ad, offering a discount code for $10 off. What the heck? I decided to give them a shot.
Picked out a nice flower arrangement, entered the code and on checkout learned that the code was invalid. But, being the nice company that they are, they would give me $5 off. No big deal, but it still wasn't what they promised. There was no "fine print" on their sponsored ad.
I arranged for the flowers to be delivered the next day between 9 and 6 (standard delivery). There was an option for delivery before 1 pm, but I did not pay the extra money. As ordered, I had already paid nearly $20 for delivery, handling, tax, etc.
At 3:30 on the day that the flowers were supposed to be delivered, my phone rang. I answered it with a smile on my face, assuming that it was my poor sick mom thanking me for the flowers. Nope, it was justflowers.com telling me that delivery couldn't be made today as promised, since they have no florists in the area. For an extra $10, a florist from out of the area could deliver the flowers to her.
$10 is no big deal, but why didn't the web site tell me that they had no florists in the area? Why didn't they call or email me sooner, so I could make other arrangements? (no pun intended) I paid for them to deliver flowers on a certain day and I thought that it was a done deal. Why were they asking me to pay for their mistake? I canceled my order and am calling FTD like I should have done in the first place. I have never had a problem with them.
Now let's see if I receive a full refund like promised.
