Citizens Bank RBS Complaint - RBS does what the want

Review by bailey the bird on 2010-05-29
Here's a good one! I'm a small business owner who has been doing business for over 15 years with Citizens Bank. Ever since RBS took them over I have been hit with the strangest nit-picking fees they can think of. Last month I put in more than $5000 in cash into my account and they charged me a fee for putting cash into my account. I'm entrusting my money to them, which they probally use before I do, and they charge me!!! In 15 years NEVER have I been charged for putting cash in the bank before. When I called to find out what the fee was for ....... She told me, "Oh well maybe you never put more than $5000 in the bank in 1 months time before" .... DUH!!!! I run a cash business and all of a sudden you are charging me to put cash in! This bank is the worst.

At my kids school our PTO changed banks when were got charged for having to many checks being deposited at one time. With fundraisers you get alot of checks but TD Bank said we were allowed I think it was 50 checks a month. We switched to our local Credit Union and have not been charged.

You may want to consider accepting credit & debit cards in your business. For a small fee you will handle less cash and make less inconvenient trips to the bank.
