Cox Communications Inc Complaint - Cox Communication Worst Customer Service with High Price
I had cox communication as my provider for about four months. This is the worst cable company I have encountered so far (worse than ATT, Comcast, charter, and Verizon). They do not honor their promotions. The customer service personnel is rude and does not tell you all the promotions that are available. You can call three times and get three different quotes.
I initially signed on all three services in a bundle however when I received my bill one month later, it was more than what was quoted to me initially. I decided to cancel cable and phone services and only leave the Internet service. The customer service personnel lied and told me that I have to pay full price now for my Internet service since I would no longer be in a bundle and neglect to mention that the promotional price that was available for new customers for the first 3-6 months. I later on found out about the promotion for new customer from cox website. I thought I should still qualify for the promotional price for new customers since I just signed on one month ago. I called the customer service department. The person on the phone was very rude and refused to honor the price. He refused to transfer the phone call to his supervisor and stated that there was nothing he could do. I just moved from an area that had charter cable and ATT. The customer services were wonderful. It was a shock to me to be treated so poorly.
Cable cost a lot with no local channels. If you want local channels, you have to pay additional fees. My monthly fees with basic Cable, basic phone services with no long distance, and Internet services was $160 dollars. It was a downgrade from AT&T for sure.
Unfortunately, Cox is the only provider in my area. I can not wait to move and to cancel cox cable. I believe Cox communication intentionally go to areas with only one provider so they can get away with poor customer service and high price. I will keep pressuring my apartment complex to invite other provider to come in.
