Geek Squad Complaint - Liars and poor service
MANSFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS -- I took my laptop in last Thursday to look into a problem with the laptop not booting. It booted up when I was showing the problem to the tech. We agreed that it was a mother board issue and they could not fix the I also asked to have it backed up. Saturday I was contacted and they told me that it was a motherboard problem and they could not fix it. I asked if the backup was completed and was told yes. I then asked if I could pick it up and was informed yes. I stopped by on Monday to pick up the laptop and was informed the backup was not compledted due to viruses found on the computer. I use norton 360 almost daily and informed that I did not believe their excuse for it not being ready.
I was fixing (componant level technician) computers and peripherals back in the very early 80's. I don't like being treated like and idiot by some 20 something year old. Will never return to use their services. I will also not purchase my next laptop at Best Buy!
