Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Birmingham, AL Complaint - Deceptive
HOOVER, ALABAMA -- From the time I stepped into the business until the time I returned the car, I experienced high pressure tactics to sign forms and assume liabilties that were not mine to assume. Most of which was a scratch on the vehicle that I pointed out to the employee who was, in his defense, trying to get me in the truck as fast as possible and failed to mark the damage sheet documenting the scratch on the truck. I called this very Enterprise location one block from leaving with the truck where I filled it with gas. Yes it had a quarter of a tank and was filthy. In filling the tank I again noticed the scratch along the back driver side door and called to make the Enterprise employee noted it, as he did not mark the damage sheet. Richard, the manager denied anyone ever got the call, and persuaded the manager at the Tuscaloosa location to con me into signing an "accident report". I argued that there was no accident and he said "Yea, they just need you to sign this so they can track where the damage was noted on another damage sheet with another customer. Just so happens that Richard claims to have assessed this filthy truck with gravel in the bed, when it was turned in by the customer prior to me, and he denies any damage present at the time. No surprise, so did the other employee when I pointed it out to him. Very deceptive business practices.
