Publishers Clearing House Informative - Garden Products - Purchased Roses To Be Planted. Arrived Dead

Review by sailman on 2010-06-02
PORT WASHTINGTON, NEW YORK -- In the past couple of months I have been ordering garden supplies from PHC on line. I purchased three rose bush's, two of which were dormant and would not come to life regardless what directions we followed. I also ordered blue berry plants which seem to be dying, and a major order for grass seeds which I question now will the generate when planted in the near future.

My complaint is, who do we contact and get credit or new plants?

Not trying to be funny, but is there no place in NY to buy these items off the shelf? I just bought about a dozen tomato plants from Home Depot and it was a selection process I needed to make, not someone fulfilling orders.

I imagine that given a choice, you would have chosen healthier plants?

Were they sent as bare root stock or as live plants that are dead. Root stock plants are dormant and will "start up" once planted. Having said that, is there no customer service number anywhere on your invoice? What guarantee did you get with the plants?
