Payless Montreal Airport Complaint - Don't ever use Payless
MONTREAL -- I made a reservation on Travelocity a while ago for a car in Montreal for May 22 to 26. In a search with Travelocity, Payless Auto came up with the best rates. I had used their company before and was not happy with the service. on that occasion, they requested proof of insurance otherwise they would charge me a daily insurance premium. in fact, they applied the charge until I presented them with proof. I was able to have the proof sent to them. the car they gave me had not been properly cleaned. when I returned the car, other customers were complaining about other issues. a women was charged a full tank of gas because she returned the car 3/4 full.
I reluctantly reserved again hoping th at the first time was just a bad day
On this occasion, May 22nd, When I arrrived at the airport, I called their number to try to get directions to their location. there was no answer and no answering machine. I finally was able to locate their office and took a cab instead of a shuttle as it was gettting close to their stated closing time of 6pm. When I arrived, someone was locking up and told me that no cars were left. I said I had a reservation and he said it didn't matter, because they had no cars. While I was there two other people showed up and were told the same thing. I was told by someone who works in the hotel where the car rental offices are located. that this happens frequently with this company.
In additiion, the man who told me they had no cars, was incredibly rude and totaly unappoligetic.
