TiVo Complaint - #1 Worst Customer Service
I was trying to cancel and return a DVR. I spoke with them for two hours trying to credit my credit card but they kept saying there was a problem. I checked my bank and it was fine. Also, the line was disconnected 4 times and they never called me back, where I had to call them back every time.
So I tried to call the next day. The first person I spoke to mentioned that I didn't need to check my bank, he just said to return the DVR and they will then credit my account thereafter.
So I packaged the DVR and read the instructions. The instructions mentioned something about a RMA number, which I did not have. I then called tivo back and the representative said I needed to check my card to process the RMA and she again said there was a problem with my card again, but the funny thing is that I just, literally 3 minutes prior, bought a camcorder charger online with that same credit card.
So the lady comes back on the line and says this "Oh your gonna hate me, and you'll probably hang up on me, but just return the item and we will credit your account, our system is not working properly, so we will escalated this issue and you don't need a RMA number."
Are you serious, I was on the phone for 2 and a half hours trying to return something and it was their fault. I received poor service and even felt like some fool becasue they kept asking why I didn't have another credit card. Avoid this company at all cost. They are obviously under paying their employees and don't give a crap about their customers. I recommend going with your cable/satellite company's DVR because dealing with tivo is akin to pulling teeth...ouch that hurt!!!!!
